Sun Delivery a nationwide White Glove In Home furniture delivery specialist is opening it newest service and distribution center in Dallas, TX effective February 15, 2009. This new facility will service TX, LA, AR, OK, and NM. The DFW facility will initially be managed by Tony Ficken, Western Region Director. This will be the third facility for Sun with other facilities in Thomasville, NC and Los Angeles, CA. The Thomasville, NC based company was founded in 1995 and has become one of the nation’s premier White Glove carriers offering service to every zip code in the 48 contiguous United States. According to company President, Rick Phillips, our new Dallas facility will allow us to offer even quicker transit times to the central region of the country and will allow us to extend our pick up zone to a host of new furniture manufacturers and distributors. Aimee Boozer, Vice President says that with double digit growth, we had our best year ever in 2008 and we are very excited about this new Dallas facility and the added value it will bring to our customers. Sun Delivery is an asset based carrier and does not utilize the agency concept. Per Phillips, “controlling the entire blanket wrap process from beginning to end allows us to maintain a claims ratio of less than 1% and with customer service reps on duty seven days per week including evenings and weekends, we score high marks from our customer satisfaction surveys.” |
